Doing Great by Doing Good 101
"Doing well is a result of doing good. That's what capitalism is all about."

Kent McBride is co-founder and chief operating officer of Make The Difference Network. Founded by celebrity actress Jessica Biel, her father Jon Biel, and Kent, MTDN is a cause-driven, social network that connects non-profit organizations with potential donors and provides the opportunity to fund specific “wishes” from various non-profit member organizations. MTDN is an example of Cause Inspired Marketing, designed to be a working model and prove “the more good you do in business, the better your business does.” You can see Kent’s profile at www.mtdn.com/mtdnguy.
Kent is a businessman who's passionately and unabashedly intent on proving the "more good you do in business, the better your business does."
As a businessman for 30 years, first in the restaurant/hotel industry, then corporate training and sales and marketing and finally the Internet, he has had thousands of employees, owned and partnered in several successful and some "not-so-successful" businesses, so he understand the what "works" and what doesn't work in business. And "doing good" in business, in a variety of ways, really works! As Kent was interviewing businesses for a book on Cause Marketing that he was writing, (The Cause Marketing Factor), Kent discovered there were more businesses who were growing successful businesses by "doing good" other than Cause Marketing than were actually doing Cause Marketing. He decided to write Doing Great by Doing Good, start Doing Great by Doing Good Radio, and create the Doing Great by Doing Good 101 seminar to tell the stories of those businesses who are "Doing Great by Doing Good" and inspire an "epidemic of good" in the business community.
